Anniversary Session | Luray, Virginia | Lake Arrowhead | Peaks+Waves Portraits: Sarah+Joe Luray, Virginia – Sunrise Anniversary Session

Sarah contacted me about doing an anniversary session here in Luray, Virginia. Which also included their dog, Bradley! Sarah + Joe celebrated their 5-year anniversary together and I am so happy to be able to create these beautiful portraits for them!
In her original inquiry, she asked for mountain views with water! Well, Lake Arrowhead came to mind. They settled on sunrise and man, oh man it did not disappoint!
I love when shooting at the locations I regularly frequent because it makes me get more creative than normal. I try not to allow my work to constantly look the same when shooting at the same location over and over. So finding new angles and different little spots is always fun!
Sarah kept reminding me to be creative and let it come to me! And I’ll have to say! It really did! this part of our session was absolutely magical! The fog was still lying on the lake from sunrise.
