Maternity Session at Lake Arrowhead | Ducote Family

Glowing leaves and warm sunshine surrounded the expectant mother as she made her way to the shore of Lake Arrowhead. The crisp air held a hint of fall, signaling that the change in seasons was upon them. She smiled radiantly, her hands cradling her growing baby bump. This was her second pregnancy and she couldn’t wait to meet their little one. Her husband stood by her side, his arms wrapped around her protectively. Their love for each other had only grown since they found out they were expecting again. As they walked along the water’s edge, I photographer captured every tender moment between them. 

The Ducote family was a beautiful sight to behold. The mother, Lo, wore a flowing green dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. Her hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, framing her face perfectly. The father, wore a simple grey jacket and jeans, looking handsome and proud as he looked at his wife. Their son was full of energy and couldn’t wait to become a big brother.

 He ran around, picking up leaves and throwing them in the air with glee.

The stunning natural beauty of Lake Arrowhead in Luray, Virginia provided the perfect backdrop for this maternity session. The clear blue waters shimmered under the warm sun, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere for the expecting couple. As I approached the lake with my camera in hand, I couldn’t help but admire the towering trees that surrounded us. Their lush green leaves rustled gently in the breeze, adding a touch of magic to this already enchanting setting.  They looked radiant as they gazed lovingly at each other, their anticipation and excitement palpable. I captured some intimate moments between them as they shared an embrace and whispered sweet words to each other. The quiet stillness of the lake allowed them to truly connect and soak in this special time before their next little one arrived. The result was simply magical – shadows danced across their faces while gentle ripples created dreamy patterns around them. This lakeside maternity session was truly unforgettable – not just because of its picturesque location but also because it captured all those emotions expectant parents experience – love, joy, hope – as they eagerly await their bundle of joy’s arrival.
