Shenandoah National Park Engagement Session Lauren + Cody

One of the greatest parts of my job is getting to travel to locations that I have never been to before. When Cody and Lauren reached out about capturing their engagement session at Shenandoah National Park, I jumped at the chance! With some of my favorite spots in mind, we planned our adventure together.

There is just something about Shenandoah National Park that makes my soul happy. Maybe it’s the rolling mountains, the beautiful scenery, or the peaceful environment. The park has always been a spot of serenity for me and I couldn’t be any happier that Cody and Lauren wanted to start their lives as a couple in this special place.

We were extremely lucky to have a gorgeous day for their session at Shenandoah National Park. The best time of day is when the sun is low in the sky because it lights up the meadows and mountains perfectly!

It was important to plan this engagement shoot carefully so that we could capture their personalities, relationship, and the beauty of Shenandoah National Park. We started out at Big Meadows with an amazing view of the mountains (I’m still drooling over these photos!). My favorite part of our sessions together is when they snuggle up together while I’m photographing them. Lauren said she felt like she was wrapped up in his arms which is how her life would be forever. So sweet!

We ended our time together as the sun was setting behind the mountains. The colors that evening were soooo dreamy! Their session ended perfectly with some amazing backlit images.

Cody and Lauren are such a fun couple! They both have such great personalities and are so easy to be around. If you’ve been following me for any length of time you know how important personality is to me. These two have it in abundance!

I’ve been so lucky to have worked with some amazing clients over the years but this duo might be my favorite yet! They were so easygoing and had such fun personalities that we hardly realized how much time had passed while we were shooting!
